SDAC Honor Scholarship

We are pleased to announce that the San Diego Alumnae Chapter Honor Scholarship is available.

The San Diego Alumnae Chapter (SDAC) Honor Scholarship Fund was established at the passing of sister Norma Taylor and has been generously supported since that time by her husband Marvin and countless other generous supporters. Donations to the scholarship are made by AOII members, friends, and family who wish to honor an AOII sister who is either living or deceased.

The first scholarship in the amount of $1000 was awarded in 2002 in the name of Bonnie Sommers Berger (Tau), a dedicated member of the San Diego Alumnae Chapter.

Area sisters are encouraged to apply for the scholarship to help fund their educational needs. The criteria for the scholarship is as follows:

Awarded to a current dues paying member of the San Diego Alumnae Chapter, who demonstrates active involvement, lifetime loyalty to and participation in AOII activities.

If no one applies or is qualified then the scholarship application process will be opened to any alumna living in CA at the time of application and third to any AOII alumna living on the west coast at the time of application.

Deadline is March 1 of every year.

If you would like to make a donation to help our philanthropy efforts, then please email info@aoiisandiego.org to request a mailing address.
Applications are available via the AOII International webpage.

We urge members, families, and friends of AOIIs to contribute to the fund if they wish to honor or remember someone in a special way. Gifts to the AOII Foundation may be designated for the SDAC Honor Scholarship Fund (be sure to enclose a letter directing the donation to SDAC Honor Scholarship Fund with your check). All gifts are tax deductible.
