A message from our President Abby:
I’ve had the privilege of serving s our chapter president for a year and a half now and have been wondering….WHY?
- Why AOII?
- Why join our chapter?
- Why have sisterhood events 10 months a year?
- Why meet with sister individully?
- Why support our collegiate chapters?
- Why partcipate in endless AOII related meetings?
In a word, it is all about connections.
In college, we were searching for a place to belong. AOII became our connection to likeminded women. After college, we travel different paths.
Those of us who have chosen to join an alumnae chapter have seen the benefits of staying connected.
Good times or bad times, there is nothing like a sister. Regular sisterhood events give us an excuse to reconnect. Getting to know individual sisters has certainly enhanced my life.
It always amazes me just how much we have in common outside of AOII. Collegiates are our future. Getting to know these young women has been so uplifting. They give me hope for the future of our country.
As for those endless meetings…
